Cookies are where a lot of people first meet millets, mostly because nobody argues with a cookie. Ours come in three kinds, and they aren’t the same cookie in different packaging. The grain really does change things.
What’s inside
Millet flour, butter, rock salt and raw sugar. That’s the list. No maida holding it all together. Because millet flour behaves differently from wheat flour, the texture comes out a bit more crumbly and crunchy, which is exactly what you want when you dunk one in chai.
Bajra cookies
Made from 100% bajra flour, with a slightly nutty, rustic taste. For a serving of three cookies (30 g), the figures we list on our Products page are about 155 kcal and 4 g of dietary fibre. These are the ones we’d hand to someone who says they like biscuits that actually taste like something.
Jowar cookies
Lighter and gentler in flavour. Three cookies come to about 160 kcal with 3 g of fibre. If someone at home says they don’t like the taste of millets, start here. Most people don’t notice the grain at all, they just notice the cookie is nice.
Ragi cookies
Ragi is known as a calcium-rich grain, and these are the darkest of the three with a deeper, earthier taste. They’re the ones with the most character, so if you enjoy the flavour of dark chocolate or jaggery, you’ll probably like them.
So, which one?
Bajra for tea time, jowar for the kids’ tiffin box or for anyone new to millets, and ragi when you want something with a bit more personality. Or order one pack of each and argue about the winner at home.
You can see all three on our Products page, and every cookie has an Enquire on WhatsApp button if you’d like to ask about orders.
